LAKSHNA weds PUNEET
Lakshna and Puneet’s story started on the dating app Dil Mil in November 2022. With Lakshna in Los Angeles and Puneet in Atlanta, they spent the first few months getting to know each other over long phone calls and video chats. Despite being on opposite sides of the country, the connection felt natural, and it wasn’t long before they realized they wanted to meet in person.
In January 2023, Puneet flew to Los Angeles, and they met for the first time on January 14 coincidentally, the day of Pongal. Taking that leap of faith, their first meeting instantly brought a sense of comfort and ease.
That week turned into a whirlwind of memorable dates. “During the week, we made up for lost time by having the most amazing dates which included visiting Joshua Tree National Park, attending a Los Angeles Lakers game, concerts, Disneyland, and a couple of relaxing days at Venice and Malibu beaches, not to mention the numerous restaurants where we discovered our mutual appreciation for food, travel, and culture!” says Lakshna.
After that visit, they kept the momentum going, planning trips to see each other and making the long-distance work in a way that felt right for them. Along the way, they created memories not just as a couple, but with each other’s families and friends too.
On February 2, 2025, they got married at Rinas Venue on ECR in Chennai. The venue had the charm of an old Tamil vintage home, something Lakshna had always dreamed of, thanks to her love for 90s Tamil movies. As soon as they saw it, they knew it was the one. They spent months putting together mood boards and planning the perfect balance for their big day. Both Lakshna’s koorai saree and Puneet’s pattu sattai and veshti were bought at RmKV, a meaningful choice that reflected their love for tradition and quality. With family and friends flying in from around the world, their wedding turned into the warm, love-filled celebration they had always hoped for.
