Our collection of embroidered, handwoven silk sarees features the most striking examples of needlework from across India. Kantha from Bengal traces birds and blooms in a flourish of bright colours; Chikankari from Lucknow turns out Persian-influenced motifs in delicate and dexterous detail; Zardozi from Uttar Pradesh is opulent indeed, with its gold and silver threads wound around pearls and sequins; Phulkari from Punjab is rendered in bold colours and with geometric precision.
