Lakshmi and Luke started as best friends in college, growing up together and witnessing each other’s lives closely. Over time, their friendship grew into love, and after a few years, they decided to tie the knot and celebrate their journey with the world. A shared love for bike rides and travel brought them closer, creating some of their most beautiful memories. Their wedding was contemporary and intimate, with no religious rituals, just a heartfelt gathering filled with dance, love, friendship, and celebration. “Easily, the happiest two days of our lives!” she adds.
Though Lakshmi lives in Kerala, her roots lie in Tirunelveli, where visits to RmKV were always a tradition. “Family weddings are incomplete without RmKV’s traditional silk saris; not just for the bride, but for all the periyammas, chithis, and athais,” shares Lakshmi. So choosing her muhurtham saree from RmKV felt natural. After hours of searching, trying, and draping many different sarees, she found the one; the exact one she had in mind: deep purple with a magenta manga border, just like her paati’s and amma’s wedding sarees.
“Not one person left the wedding without complimenting the sari. I even got compliments saying I looked like Madurai Meenakshi Amman in this sari. The sari stole the show!” adds Lakshmi.
We are extremely happy to have been part of this wonderful journey and wish Lakshmi and Luke a fabulous life ahead.
