DEVANSHI Weds PREM
Prem and Devanshi first met during their freshman year at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. By senior year, they found themselves choreographing a dance together for the annual India Night event, and that's when they really started getting to know each other. After graduation, they began dating.
They spent a few years in a long-distance relationship, juggling work and further studies in different states. But they made it work by visiting each other, exploring new places, trying new foods, and being there for each other through all the ups and downs. On their 5th anniversary, just before a trip to Denver, Prem popped the question. They got married a few months later at the Hindu Temple of Greater Chicago in November 2021.
For the wedding, Devanshi wore a beautiful crimson zari brocade saree, gifted by Prem’s family, who are from Tirunelveli. It was a special touch since many women in Prem’s family, including his mom, had worn RmKV Kanchipuram Silk sarees at their own weddings. Devanshi loved carrying on that tradition, making the day even more meaningful. We're honoured to have been a part of her special day.
