A Look Into ‘Weaves & Wonders: Festive Launch 2024
On 30th September 2024, RmKV celebrated a momentous occasion with the launch of ‘Weaves & Wonders’, held at Fika, Adyar.
More than just a festive saree launch, the event marked our 100th year celebration, marking a century of heritage, trust, and innovation.
The event was graced by notable celebrities including Saindhavi, Uma Padmanabhan, Priya Manikandan, Priyadharshani, and Srivardani Thaman.
Several influencers also attended, experiencing our exclusive collection of unique silk sarees.
A total of 11 innovative sarees were showcased, each reflecting RmKV’s craftsmanship and tradition.
The décor was thoughtfully designed to reflect the story behind each saree.
The Naturals range was presented with fresh flowers, creating a serene and organic atmosphere.
The 99 Flowers saree sparked curiosity among visitors, leading to an interactive display featuring cutouts of all 99 flowers along with their names.
For the Lino range, the lightweight nature of the sarees was highlighted through a visual setup that emphasised their airy, net-like texture.
Each display was curated to create an experience that felt both elegant and immersive.

Our directors and staff actively engaged visitors by sharing the stories behind each saree.
Guests could also experience the natural dyeing process firsthand at a dedicated counter, showcasing the use of natural ingredients.
A media meet was conducted with prominent journalists from the mainline media.
They interacted with the directors, discussing the inspiration behind the collection and RmKV’s 100-year journey.
This created an opportunity for deeper insights into the creativity behind each design.
The highlight of the event was the Four Thousand Unique Natural Colour Silk Saree.
