This exquisite saree from RmKV Design Studio is a true testament to the rich heritage of Tamil Sangam literature and the art of natural dyeing. The saree is dyed using traditional ingredients such as Indian madder, lac, and myrobalan, which impart a unique and vibrant hue to the fabric.
The design concept revolves around the 99 flowers mentioned in Tamil Sangam literature, each intricately handwoven into the saree’s pallu. The pallu is a visual masterpiece, laid out in a chariot-like structure that symbolizes grandeur and tradition.
The body of the saree is a rustic brown, exuding a natural and earthy charm. It is adorned with delicate four-petaled flower buttas, meticulously crafted using gold zari threads. These buttas add a touch of elegance and shimmer, creating a beautiful contrast against the rustic background.
The border of the saree is a work of art in itself. It features a contrasting design with intricate floral vine motifs, showcasing the skill and artistry of the weavers. Alongside these vines, traditional motifs such as the kamalam (lotus), kattu (separator), and arumbu (flower bud) are woven in, adding layers of cultural significance and beauty.
This saree is not just a piece of clothing but a celebration of Tamil heritage and craftsmanship. It is perfect for special occasions, where you want to make a statement with elegance and tradition.
