This naturally dyed silk saree was conceptualised, designed and handwoven by RmKV master weavers.Dyed using a rich palette of natural ingredients like myrobalan, indigo, lac, sappan wood, and Indian madder, this saree is a celebration of heritage and harmony.
At its heart lies the iconic tri-partite (Muppagam) layout. The central section features nine radiant checks, each woven from a vibrant medley of silk threads in rust, indigo, green, peach, and more, with zari delicately interlaced to lend an understated elegance.
On either side of this multicoloured core, striking panels in viva magenta provide bold contrast, their surfaces adorned with parrot motifs glinting in zari, symbolising joy and vibrancy. The pallu seamlessly continues the checkered patterns, creating a visual flow across the drape. To harmoniously bridge the vivid body and distinctive pallu, the age-old pettni technique is employed along the plain borders.
