Hamsa Damayanti, a classic masterpiece by the celebrated artist Raja Ravi Varma, narrates the romantic tale of King Nala and Queen Damayanti, with a beautiful white swan playing Cupid between them. Woven in shades of crimson and laced with gold, the saga takes you back to the mythical era of fairy tale romances. The Hamsa Damayanti is not just a Kanchipuram silk saree. It is where classical art meets innovative design.
The saree pays tribute to the royal painter and his immortal classic on his 150th anniversary and the centenary of the painting in 1999. It is a display of the innovative workmanship the craftsmanship of the design team of RmKV, and the talented weavers who have recreated this moment of love in silken splendour. At a time when most silk sarees would use a maximum of 500 jacquard cards, this masterpiece meant the use of forty-five thousand jacquard cards and one lakh knots using “French Tapestry “to create this magical masterpiece. RmKV has always been innovative in their designs and it is little wonder that this exquisite saree won the National Award in 1999.
International shipments:
We request our customers to be aware of local laws and customs duty charges before placing the order. Regulations of the country of destination regarding import customs duty and taxes would apply.
Customers (consignee) may have to pay customs charges, import duties and taxes which are levied once a shipment reaches the consignee’s country. Consignee will be responsible for paying these additional fees.
To ensure safe delivery of all product shipments, packing is done in accordance with industry standards. All orders are shipped through the chosen courier service and sent to the shipping address provided while placing your order.
Our shipments are carefully inspected before leaving our warehouse, but if you are not satisfied with your purchase.
Returns may be accepted if the items are unused, in their original condition, and carry all original labels and tags. Goods should be returned in the original packaging and the invoice should be enclosed. The customer intending to return the item should send an email to customercare@rmkv.com tell us why the item(s) is being returned, before the item is returned. RmKV will entertain product return only after receiving the email from the customer.
Please return items within 30 days of receiving the shipment.
Any complaints regarding damage or stains etc. should be reported to us within 24 hours of receiving the product(s). RmKV reserves the right to ask for a digital image of the same, in order to review the complaint received.
Our decision regarding the condition of returned goods shall be final.
Shipping charges cannot be refunded and return shipping charges shall be borne by the customer. On receiving the email confirmation from RmKV for the return of the product, the customer/ recipient/ consignee should ship the products to the following address.
